Who is responsible for your data
pnl.trading is operated from Hungary as an independent project. The data controller is the operator of pnl.trading, who can be reached at the email address below.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, such as your account details and the trading data you create or import while using pnl.trading. If you choose to connect an external brokerage account, we collect the connection details needed to retrieve your data on your behalf. If you join our beta waitlist, we collect only the email address you provide, so we can let you know once a spot opens up. We also keep the content of any message you send us, including optional attachments. We don't run behavioral analytics or tracking beyond what's needed to operate the Service.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve pnl.trading, to respond to your support requests, and to keep your account and the Service secure. From time to time, we may use your email address to send you information about the Service, such as product updates or an occasional newsletter: you can opt out of these at any time. We do not use your information to serve third-party advertising, and we do not sell your personal information to anyone.
Legal basis for processing
We process your information on the basis of our contract with you, to provide the Service you signed up for; your consent, where you've taken an explicit action such as connecting a brokerage account; and our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving pnl.trading.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in and to operate the Service securely. We don't use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking. Your browser may also store a small number of preferences locally, such as your chosen theme or language, which stay on your device.
How we share information
We work with a small number of trusted service providers who help us host, secure, and operate pnl.trading: for example, providers of database, hosting, and email-delivery services. These providers only process information on our behalf and under our instructions. If you choose to connect an external brokerage, we exchange the data necessary to retrieve your statements on your behalf. As the operator of the Service, we may also access account information ourselves on a limited, logged basis where necessary: for example, to investigate a technical issue or respond to a support request; see our Security page for details. We may disclose information where required by law. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
How long we keep information
We keep your information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the Service to you. You're always in control: you can delete individual data, or your entire account, at any time from your Account settings, and we act on that promptly. If you're on our beta waitlist, you can ask to be removed at any time by emailing our support address below. Where we retain limited information for a short period after a request: for example, to resolve an open support ticket: we do so only as long as reasonably necessary.
International transfers
Your information is primarily processed within the European Economic Area. Where a service provider processes information outside the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards recognized under applicable data protection law, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, to help keep your information protected.
Security
We take the security of your information seriously and use industry-standard technical and organizational measures designed to protect it. That said, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security. You can read more on our Security page.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Many of these are already available to you directly from your Account settings. For anything else, you're welcome to reach out to us, and where applicable, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Children's privacy
pnl.trading isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under the age required by applicable law. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us.
About the Service
pnl.trading is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, as an independent, evolving project. Nothing in the Service constitutes financial, investment, tax, or legal advice, and any decisions you make about your trading or investments remain your own responsibility. While we work hard to keep things running smoothly, we can't guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times, and to the extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim liability for losses arising from your use of the Service.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to pnl.trading or applicable law. If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
